As I grew up, my dad had a steadfast response whenever I uttered the words, "I can't" – he'd firmly declare, "I can't is not in our vocabulary!" This mantra, instilled in me from a young age, stands as one of the earliest and most profound lessons I learned from him.
Later, during a chiropractic seminar early in my career, a speaker shared words that deeply resonated with me: when faced with the notion of "I can't," replace it with the affirmation, "I CAN, I WILL, AND I MUST!"
Since then, I've lost count of the times I've silently repeated this empowering phrase to myself – surely, it's been thousands. Its application spans across various daily challenges, particularly propelling me beyond my comfort zone in growing and sustaining my chiropractic practice through public screenings and speaking engagements. It's also been a guiding force in my fitness regimen; whenever the temptation to skip a workout arises, that inner voice resolutely declares, "I can, I will, I MUST!" And true to this conviction, I've never allowed myself to quit midway through a workout or back out of a professional commitment.

For me, committing to never giving up on oneself is the true completion of any task; the rest is merely following through.
So, the next time you catch yourself uttering, "I can't," obliterate it with the triumphant declaration, "I CAN, I WILL, I MUST!"
